Role

We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our Pricing team in the Lending Organization, with focus on our Credit Card business. This is an exciting role for someone looking to make a direct impact on the revenue and profitability of SoFi’s Credit Card business.

Responsibilities

• Design and run A / B tests and controlled experiments to evaluate the impact of pricing, offers, and messaging strategies on acquisition, usage, credit risk and profitability.
• Utilize advanced analytics to monitor credit card performance, identify pricing optimization opportunities (e.g., APR structures, fees, and offers), and make data‑backed decisions that improve profitability and user experience.
• Work closely with cross‑functional teams – including Risk, Business, Finance, Marketing, Engineering and Product – to ensure successful design, testing, and implementation of pricing initiatives from concept to launch.
• Conduct competitive benchmarking and market research to assess credit card pricing trends, promotional offers, and customer preferences to inform product positioning.
• Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure product success, and drive improvements based on these insights.
• Collaborate with the Pricing Data Science team to build and enhance analytical models that inform pricing decisions – such as elasticity, profitability, sensitivity, and optimization models – to support business strategy and improve financial outcomes.
• Ensure that products meet customer expectations and are positioned to deliver maximum value and satisfaction.
• Lead pricing and product development initiatives, mentor team members, and communicate effectively with senior leadership to drive business outcomes.
• Analyze product feedback, usage data, and performance metrics to drive continuous product iterations and improvements.
