Sr. Financial Analyst - Contracts Analyst

Supports the financial and operational evaluation of prospective National Hospital contracts, providing consult and recommendations to insure growth and profitability for National Hospital Contracts / GPOs and regional GPOs. Towards this goal, works closely with National Accounts, Field Finance and Hospital Contract Support Manager. Partners with representatives of the National Hospital sales organization in response to contract proposals for national or regional hospital contracts.

Job Accountabilities :

• Performs all financial analyses required for National Hospital contracts including the compilation of fee schedules, revenue projections, synergy analyses and "what-if" scenarios.
• Responsible for mapping client test codes to affiliate billing systems and competitors' test codes in responding to RFPs and performing financial analyses
• Support GPO business through pricing and profitability analyses with emphasis on retaining profitable customers and gaining new ones
• Develops utilization and membership corridors and integrates such corridors into contracts where applicable to protect the Company from downstream risk
• Supports the development of standard contract exclusions and pricing guidelines.
• Works closely with the Clinical Franchise department to insure that pricing guidelines for anatomic pathology and new test campaigns are considered in prospective contracts.
• Serves as a content expert to the business unit leadership regarding National and Regional Hospital contracts and pricing strategies.
• Interfaces directly with Operations leaders regarding the cost implications associated with new and existing National and Regional Hospital contracts.
• Develops methods to streamline the pricing review and authorization process for National and Regional Hospital contracts.
• Performs specific test campaign analyses to determine the prospective revenue and volume impact for key test initiatives.
• Supports due diligence efforts by evaluating the National and Regional Hospital contracts.
