Job Description :

NorthPoint Staffing is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Project Manager on behalf of our esteemed client, a leading construction management firm based in Westchester, NY. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in managing ground-up and renovation projects across various sectors including commercial, corporate, retail, healthcare, and hospitality within the NY 5 Boros region.

Responsibilities :

  • Oversee all phases of construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and progress reports.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
  • Manage project resources efficiently, including labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members to provide updates, address concerns, and facilitate decision-making.
  • Proactively identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and delays.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment conducive to achieving project goals and objectives.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to enhance project delivery and performance.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to overcome challenges and achieve project success.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in construction project management, preferably within the commercial, corporate, retail, healthcare, and hospitality sectors.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing ground-up and renovation projects of varying scale and complexity.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques.
  • Strong proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Primavera, Procore, Microsoft Project).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, LEED) are a plus.
