Novelty Express is a leading provider of novelty and impulse items for convenience stores, truck stops, travel centers, and other retail outlets. It is a division of M.R. Williams, Inc., serving customers via a DSD model.

We operate state-of-the-art facilities, handle all the staffing and regulatory requirements, and more. Our products are available for distribution to various industries, including convenience stores, schools, prisons, office parks, and more.

Position Summary

A Regional Sales Manager oversees sales operations within a specific geographical area, driving revenue growth and managing a team of sales professionals to achieve company objectives. This role also includes developing and maintaining strong relationships with key decision makers of chain customers to ensure alignment on goals, support long-term partnerships, and identify opportunities for strategic growth.

Requirements : Responsibilities

Exceptional Engagement :

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key decision makers for core customers in region.
  • Maintaining quarterly meeting cadence with core customers in region.
  • Managing A / R of customers within region.
  • Promoting the company’s products and services through communication with key decision makers.
  • Acting as the main point of contact with brokers, suppliers, and distributors in the region.
  • Implementing sales goals and communicating them to key individuals.
  • Preparing sales reports and submitting them to senior management.
  • Managing and coaching team of territory managers on expectations, standards and opportunities for growth.
  • Promptly responding to customer requests.
  • Reviewing customer purchases and culling non-performing accounts.
  • Making regular presentations to chain prospects.
  • Maximizing growth potential of stores within the region.
  • Ensuring that stores comply with industry regulations.
  • Preparing budgets and analyzing the market.
  • Collecting customer feedback as well as market research.

Education, Experience and Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree (Marketing, Sales or related field).
  • Proven experience in sales management.
  • Proficient in basic accounting.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • The ability to work under stress and resolve conflict.
  • Sound organizational skills.
  • The ability to motivate staff and lead a team
  • Physical Requirements, Working Conditions, and Travel Requirements

  • Must be able to pull up to 35 pounds.
  • Sitting for long periods, general bending and twisting are associated with lifting.
