Shift : Day 3x12-Hour (06 : 40 - 19 : 10)
Requirements :
2+ year(s) of exp. required.
BLS Required.
CST and State License Preferred.
HARDSTOP - ENT, plastics, ophthalmology exp Need to be comfortable caring for Gender reassignment Surgical patients.
Description :
Day / Evening, Monday - Friday, 12-hour shifts 0640-1910, days varying. Weekday and weekend call responsibilities. Holiday call responsibilities. Shift may vary dependent on operational need.
Surg Tech Tier 7 - Eye,Ent,Plastic
Eyes : vitrectomy and open globe repair
Plastics : abdominoplasty, DIEP flap surgery (deep inferior epigastric perforator flap) breast reconstruction, free flap, laparoscopic
ENT : arch bars, facial repairs mandibular, zygomatic, sinus surgery, radical neck dissection, tracheostomy,
septoplasty, Acoustics (crani experience), Direct laryngoscopy
Ears : Cochlear implants
Equipment : Constellation, Straight Shot, liposuction, neoprobe, NIM, Piezo, Klein Pump, and Stryker Navigation
Microscopes : Pentero, Mitaka, and Leica
Experience :
Minimum two years of scrub experience or equivalent relevant experience required.
Licensure and Certification :
BLS – must be certified through American Heart Association ONLY
CST - preferred
Education :
Successfully completed a surgical technologist program or two years experience in Surgical Technologist role may be considered in lieu of completion of program.
The Surgical Technologist prepares the Operating Room prior to surgery, promotes the safety of the patient during surgery, provides assistance to the surgeon during surgery, cares for the patient during surgery and cares for the instruments and supplies used in surgery. The Surgical Technologist functions to promote the safety of the patient as a member of the surgical team. The incumbent possesses knowledge and skills required to assist in effectively caring for patients of all age groups (neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric).
