This Position
This position will serve as the Therapeutic Court Intake Probation Officer located in Anchorage Alaska. The position will conduct a variety of screening tools used to assist the therapeutic court team in determining program eligibility intake interviews for therapeutic court participants program orientation criminal risk assessments using the risk assessment results to create individualized case plans and connecting participants with appropriate community resources such as treatment employment services childcare and public benefits. It also will provide coverage as needed for our therapeutic court programs which will include carrying a participant caseload monitoring participant progress through the program phases and regular in-person meetings documentation home and field visits curfew checks and drug or alcohol testing while coordinating with agencies such as the Department of Corrections and the Office of Childrens Services to ensure safe housing treatment compliance and support for participants with CINA cases.
In addition the role prepares reports and correspondence maintains case information in therapeutic court databases and collaborates closely with justice system professionals treatment providers and social service agencies to solve problems and ensure coordinated care. The position provides court testimony participates in team meetings attends trainings and community events represents ACS / ASAP in various settings supports therapeutic court operations such as UA testing and adheres to All Rise Adult Drug Court Best Practice Standards to ensure high-quality program delivery.
This position is grant-funded for up to three years or until the end of available grant funding.
Employees transferring from another State of Alaska agency may receive consideration for an advance step placement.

The Work Hours
This position is scheduled to work 37.5 hours per week. The work hours for this position are Monday - Friday 8 : 00 a.m. to 4 : 30 p.m. with a one-hour lunch break.

Minimum Qualifications
A bachelors degree from an accredited college in any field.
Substitution :
Four years of any combination of post-secondary education from an accredited college and / or paraprofessional experience in probation parole criminal justice social services corrections criminal investigation public safety law enforcement mental health substance abuse treatment rehabilitation case management or similar work experience will substitute for the required degree. This includes service as a Court Case Manager Courtroom Judicial Assistant Chambers Judicial Assistant Court Supervisor Chief Deputy Clerk or Clerk of Court with the Alaska Court System or a similar position with another employer.
