Position Overview
Huber Supply is seeking a motivated and reliable individual for a hybrid position that includes propane filling, inside counter sales, and local "hot run" deliveries. This role is critical to supporting our customers in a timely, safe, and customer-service-oriented manner. You will be part of a tight-knit branch team that provides welding gases, propane, welding supplies, and industrial products to our growing customer base.
Key Responsibilities
Propane & Cryogenic Filling
Fill customer and company propane cylinders according to DOT and company safety standards - Fill customer and company dewars with cryogenic liquids, including oxygen, argon, and nitrogen - Perform leak checks and ensure accurate labeling and documentationMaintain propane and cryogenic fill areas to ensure safety and regulatory complianceAssist with tracking inventory and tank counts for both propane and cryogenic gasesInside Sales & Customer Support
Assist walk-in customers with product selection, order entry, and payment processingAnswer phones, provide quotes, and take orders accurately in our ERP system (Epicor Prophet 21) - Build customer relationships by providing product knowledge and timely serviceAssist with stocking, pricing, and maintaining the retail areaHot Run Deliveries
Make local emergency or same-day product / gas deliveries to customers as needed ("hot runs") - Operate company vehicle safely and efficiently, adhering to DOT and company driving policies - Load / unload product including welding cylinders, boxes, and other suppliesCommunicate effectively with the branch and customers during runsQualifications
Must have a valid drivers license and clean driving recordAbility to lift and carry 50+ lbs and move cylinders using a hand cart - Strong attention to safety and detailPositive, customer-first attitude and strong communication skillsWillingness to obtain forklift certification and propane / cryogenic filling training (provided) - CDL Class B with hazmat endorsement is a plus (but not required initially)Working Conditions
Mostly onsite at the Owatonna branch with regular outdoor activity (propane and cryogenic stations, deliveries)Exposure to industrial gases, heavy lifting, and warehouse conditionsFast-paced, team-driven environment with direct customer interactionCompensation & Benefits
