The Role

Purpose of the role : As a Sales Development Representative you will be the tip of the spear of our sales pipeline - proactively identifying and reaching out to construction teams who can benefit from our platform, setting up demos, and building strong relationships that drive our growth. Beyond just generating leads, you'll play a key role in understanding industry challenges, tailoring outreach to the right teams, and making sure every conversation adds value.

Team : You'll be part of our Growth team, working closely with sales, marketing, and product experts. Together, we tell Shape's story to the world and build connections with those who haven't yet experienced how game-changing our platform is.

Your top 4 responsibilities :

1. Open doors : You will proactively identify and reach out to construction teams, introducing them to Shape and setting up demos that showcase how our product can transform their projects. You must be very comfortable and confident doing cold calls - indeed you must love it!

2. Refine our outreach strategy : Using data and insights, you'll continuously improve our approach, experimenting with messaging, channels, and engagement tactics to maximize impact.

3. Collaborate with the team : You'll work closely with marketing, product, and customer success teams to align efforts, share feedback, and ensure we're reaching the right people in the right way.

4. Grow yourself and others : We're big on learning and development. You'll have the opportunity to sharpen your sales skills, share best practices, and contribute to building a world-class growth function.

Your Capabilities :

You are a high-energy, people-focused sales person who sees sales as a way of helping people, not extracting money out of them. You know how to connect with people, ask the right questions, and spark interest in a way that feels natural. You're not just here to sell - you're here to help potential customers see how Shape can transform the way they work. As a candidate, you should have :

  • Mastery : Experience in B2B sales, ideally in SaaS, construction tech, or digital solutions. You understand how to engage decision-makers and guide them through a sales process.
  • Communication : A confident and engaging communicator. You know how to make complex ideas simple and compelling, and you're comfortable talking to both hands-on construction teams and senior business leaders.
  • Leadership : You take ownership. Whether it's leading a conversation, driving a new sales strategy, or mentoring new team members as you grow, you don't wait for direction - you make things happen.
  • Impact : You can read between the lines, spot opportunities, and adapt your approach based on what's working. You don't just book meetings - you open doors.

  • Mastery : If you're not an expert in construction tech yet, you will be! We'll give you the tools and knowledge to speak the industry's language.
  • Communication : A master in the art of influencing and persuasion with an extensive network in the construction and / or tech start-up industries.

  • Impact : Beyond just hitting targets, you'll play a key role in shaping how construction teams adopt technology. The relationships you build and the insights you gather will help refine our approach and drive real change in the industry.
