Base pay range : $167,000.00 / yr - $233,000.00 / yr

Meta seeks a highly collaborative and passionate candidate for online intellectual property (IP) issues to serve as Lead Counsel, IP Product. This is an individual contributor position and will report to Associate General Counsel, IP Product. In this role, you will tackle cutting‑edge IP issues on a global scale across Meta’s family of apps, products, and services, including AI, Reality Labs, Facebook, Instagram, Threads, WhatsApp, and Messenger. You will be at the forefront of IP law and working on novel issues at the intersection of law and technology. These include development of Meta’s AI products and the Metaverse, as well as continued expansion of product offerings across our platforms. This role will involve counseling and working closely with legal colleagues, as well as product, engineering, policy, operations, and other business teams. Lead Counsel, Intellectual Property (IP) Product Responsibilities

• Evaluate company products and features to provide practical and business‑focused advice that manages global IP legal risk
• Advise on issues of direct and secondary liability arising from copyright, trademark, and other IP and content‑related laws (e.g., DMCA, CDA, EU Copyright Directive, DSA)
• Support the development and expansion of AI products and the Metaverse, and lead on IP legal issues across Reality Labs, Facebook, Instagram, Threads, WhatsApp, and Messenger
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with product, engineering, policy, operations, and other business teams, as well as legal colleagues
• Work with a global network of outside counsel advising on IP issues
