Must-Have :
Must be willing to take charge when asked.
Previous charge experience preferred.
Experience with thoracentesis, COPD exacerbation, pneumonia, CVA, hypoxia, electrolyte imbalances, weakness, hypertension, small bowel obstruction, altered mental status, renal failure preferred.
Description :
Looking for a Medical Surgical RN.
The position requires a professional with strong clinical skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team.
You will be responsible for providing patient care to adults and geriatric populations.
The daily patient census is approximately 24 in a unit with 20 beds.
You will handle a patient ratio of 5 to 6 patients.
Floating to other areas within the facility may be required.
You must be available to work every other weekend and two out of three major holidays.
Candidates should have skills in accessing and managing ports, blood product administration, central line blood draw, and management of dysrhythmias.
Additional responsibilities include maintaining IVs, performing phlebotomy, and managing feeding tubes, CPAP / BiPAP, and oxygen delivery systems.
The ability to interpret arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias is also essential.
