Administrative Professional For Court Appointed Special Advocates
King County Family Court is seeking an administrative professional with a passion for supporting Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) for children in dependency court proceedings. This full-time, benefited term-limited-temporary appointment is anticipated to last up to 12 months and will provide a variety of administrative and customer service tasks in support of the CASA program.

Work location : This position is based in the Children and Family Justice Center 1211 E. Alder Street, Seattle, Washington. The incumbent may be required to work at other Superior Court facilities as needed.
Work schedule and terms : This is full-time, benefit-eligible position working a 35-hour work week. The work week is normally Monday through Friday, 8 : 30 a.m. to 4 : 30 p.m. Variations from these hours may occur based on the needs of the Court. This position is non-exempt (hourly) from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and overtime-eligible.

Experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills :
A high school diploma or equivalent, and a minimum of two years' administrative / office experience is required. Knowledge of specialized court databases and programs, and general office principles and practices. Able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Able to follow oral and written instructions. Experience working with diverse populations and / or emotional situations with cultural sensitivity. Able to maintain confidentiality on sensitive matters. Must have the ability to work independently and with a team.

Necessary special requirements : The ability to reliably travel throughout the County is required. Finalists are subject to the Washington State Patrol criminal background check and a reference check. Criminal background records are not automatically disqualifying.
