We are looking for a detail-oriented Human Resources (HR) Assistant to join our team on a contract basis in Midland, Texas. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting HR functions and ensuring smooth administrative processes. You will play a key role in assisting with onboarding, maintaining employee records, and handling confidential information with care and precision.
Responsibilities :
- Facilitate onboarding activities, including paperwork and background checks, to ensure new employees are properly integrated.
- Maintain and update HR records using HRIS systems, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Respond to employee inquiries and provide support on HR-related matters, including policies and procedures.
- Coordinate and conduct new employee orientations to familiarize staff with company procedures.
- Answer incoming calls and manage a multi-line phone system with efficiency and attention to detail.
- Scan, organize, and maintain documents, ensuring proper filing and retrieval processes.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and managing correspondence.
- Uphold confidentiality while managing sensitive employee information and documentation.
- Support employee relations efforts by addressing concerns and facilitating communication between staff and management.
- Proven experience in HR administration or a related field.
- Familiarity with HRIS systems and their functionalities.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in handling confidential information with discretion.
- Experience conducting onboarding and orientations for new team members.
- Competence in using multi-line phone systems and managing customer inquiries.
- Proficiency in administrative tasks, including document scanning and data entry.
