Construction Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Construction Accountant to join our team in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who excels in managing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and delivering accurate reporting. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in accounting practices and a proven ability to handle complex financial tasks.

Responsibilities :

• Prepare and manage monthly and quarterly financial closings with accuracy and efficiency.
• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all journal entries are properly documented.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and compliance with policies.
• Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts and monitor cash balances to ensure liquidity.
• Handle project accounting tasks, including billing, revenue management, and subcontractor compliance.
• Generate financial reports and provide insights to support business decisions.
• Manage sales tax processes, including preparation, filing, and compliance.
• Utilize Sage software to streamline accounting operations and improve workflow.
• Track and report on cash management activities to support financial planning.
