Position Summary : The Deposit Operations Specialist is responsible for supporting the Bank’s deposit transactions to provide a smooth and informed customer experience internally and externally and minimize risks to the Bank and our customers.

Responsibilities / Accountabilities :

• Transaction Processing : Support the Bank’s deposit transaction processing by verifying documentation for completeness, accuracy, and alignment with regulations and internal processes. Process and monitor electronic transactions through wire transfers, ACH, ATM, NSF, etc.
• Transaction Monitoring : Monitor daily reports and internal systems for accuracy of transactions including but not limited to mobile banking, ATMs, stops / holds, overdrafts, ACH, charge-offs, duplicate transactions, etc.
• Levies & Garnishments : Process timely and in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures.
• File Maintenance : Ensure file maintenance is completed timely and in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures.
• Fraud Mitigation : Respond and file debit card disputes and fraud allegations; managing risk and loss to the Bank while providing an exceptional customer experience and remaining within regulatory timeframes.
• Customer Service : Demonstrate active listening and provide internal and external customer support for systems including but not limited to online banking, verification requests, wires, etc. Partner with customers to resolve escalated customer concerns and questions to ensure a timely and effective resolution.
• Team Mentorship : Provide mentoring and act as the first point of contact for technical support to teammates; partnering to further their knowledge, development, and training.
• Cash Management Support : Review and approve cash management files to support business customers. Open new accounts for CDARS program and provide daily transaction balancing.
• Compliance : Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, privacy policies, industry standards, and internal policies and procedures. Regularly review updated internal policy and procedure in order to identify exceptions to policy.
• Market Research : Stay up to date on market data, research industry specific information from outside sources including industry publications and references from other banks.

Regulatory Standards : Financial Institutions must adopt and comply with regulatory requirements. All employees of Unity Bank are required to comply with these standards and practices. Employees will be responsible for participation in training sessions for these regulatory compliance requirements. This will be offered through online sessions, department meetings, bank wide training, and other such media. In addition, compliance training that is specific to job responsibilities will be conducted. Any employee that knowingly fails to comply with the requirements, as outlined in the Compliance Manual and the related guidelines may be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
