Hearing Specialist

Job Opportunity

We are seeking an Audiologist to provide professional opinions on hearing problem severity, diagnosis, causation, and assessing probability related to military service. The ideal candidate will have a Doctorate Degree in Audiology (Au.D) from an accredited college or university and 5+ years of clinic practice experience.

Responsibilities

• Administer and interpret tests to determine hearing impairment type and degree, such as air and bone conduction, and speech reception and discrimination tests.
• Evaluate test results in relation to behavioral, social, educational, and medical record reviews to determine likely cause of hearing loss and state prognosis.
• Operate computerized programs and utilize application software and databases to enter, modify, and access information into / from electronic medical records.
• Maintain patient confidentiality with written and verbal information per HIPAA.
• Conduct otoscopic examinations, cerumen management, and calibration checks of audiometric equipment.
