Senior Accountant

Job Summary :

We have an opportunity for a Senior Accountant. We are looking for a team-oriented, results driven professional with a strong sense of ownership and process improvement. The role has a diverse range of influence that includes functional financial responsibility within the North America headquarters for accounting and financial reporting.

Essential Functions :

• Be the general ledger team lead which includes financial reporting, journal entries, account reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Maintain the General Ledger including reporting account mappings.
• Assist leadership in headquarter reporting reviews and submissions.
• Lead internal controls program.
• Automating and streamlining the financial processes.
• Assisting with the budgeting process, and with the internal and external audits.
• Posting monthly, quarterly and yearly accruals
• Responding to information requests and reviewing financial statements
• Maintaining / upgrading the accounting modules and improving the integration of the ERP system.
• Assist with preparing monthly metrics for executive team.
• Provide leadership and foster career and goal development for certain members of the accounting department.
• Ensure that all the company's financial practices, policies, and records are in compliance with
• corporate policies and statutory regulations and legislation, including Sarbanes-Oxley.
• Prepare financial reports and analysis.
• Month-end / year-end closing process.
• Assist with internal and external audits.
• Assist with company Treasury functions.
