We were founded in 2008 by pre-eminent psychiatrists and psychologists and treat 6,000+ patients per year. What you’ll be doing :
This is by no means a behind-the-scenes" role, as your work will help the company serve patients daily in a multitude of ways.
The Senior People Business Partner (SPBP) position is a strategic role that serves as a key partner to the ERCPL business units.
With a focus on strategic alignment, the SPBP collaborates closely with the People and Culture team to deliver value-added services that support the organization's overall business objectives.
The SPBP maintains a deep understanding of the business unit's financial position, future plans, culture, and competitive landscape.
The SPBP actively works to strengthen and reinforce the company's mission while enhancing the employee value proposition.
They develop and execute strategic initiatives, leveraging the support of the People and Culture team centers of excellence, to drive the organization's people agenda forward.
The SPBP identifies opportunities to optimize talent management, improve organizational effectiveness, and promote a high-performance culture.
As an advisor to ERC Leadership, the SPBP provides strategic guidance and thought leadership on all people-related matters.
They contribute to the development and implementation of talent strategies, succession planning, leadership development, and change management initiatives.
Through data analysis and insights, the SPBP helps inform decision-making, ensuring that people strategies align with the overall business strategy and contribute to long-term success.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
Organization Leadership / Business Partner : Understand the industry and the internal / external environment that impacts the organization.
Knowledgeable about the organization’s strategic direction, annual corporate business plan, and annual business plans of individual departments.
Identify and address teammates issues and opportunities which may affect the execution of these plans. Consult with the People and Culture team and leaders in the development of solutions, action plans, and measures of success.
Provide input into people team annual strategy planning and goal setting to ensure alignment with the business.
Organization Development Consulting : Identify and apply tactics to ensure engagement and alignment of teammates across the organization ensuring organization effectiveness and efficiency.
Partner with leaders in developing effective structures, systems, processes, and skills to support their business goals and talent requirements.
Apply change management processes as appropriate to sustain collaboration and a work environment that encourages ongoing improvements and innovation.
Lead talent review, performance management, team development, culture / work environment survey, and action planning processes.
Measure effectiveness and communicate results to the management teams on a quarterly basis.
Employee Relations : Anticipate, identify, and facilitate resolution of employee relations issues. Act as an internal consultant for teammates and management in these situations.
Work with colleagues in People and Culture, legal, and others as appropriate to ensure high quality solutions consistent with our values, federal, state and local laws.
Conduct thorough, objective investigations as needed. Provide company policy guidance and interpretation to business leaders.
Advise management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues. Objectively coach and influence teammates and management through complex, difficult, and emotional issues.
Appropriately seek consultation from legal counsel. Prepare employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews.
Participate in Unemployment Commission hearings and related appeals as required.
Learning and Development : Identify appropriate learning and development solutions for individuals, teams, and organizations supported.
Work with leaders and teammates to create meaningful development and career plans. Participate in the development and delivery of People and Culture training offerings.
Serve as trainer for various leadership and soft skills development topics.
Talent and Retention : Maintain understanding of key talent for senior level leadership and key positions. Participate in the development, design, and implementation of retention strategies, career pathing, and other programs to ensure the retention and development of top talent.
Total Rewards Management : In partnership with our People Operations and Benefits teams, assist in the development, implementation, and communication of total rewards programs and processes.
Help identify and develop innovative reward / recognition programs which address the unique needs of the organization. Support the leaders in conducting the talent review process and in planning for future talent and skills sets to stay competitive and anticipate emerging capabilities.
Mentoring and Coaching : Provide mentorship and coaching to other business partners, guiding them in their professional development and helping them navigate complex people challenges.
Share best practices, industry trends, and innovative people strategies to enhance their capabilities and drive organizational success.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Organizational Development, Learning & Development, Business, or related field required. Equivalent years of experience (in addition to requirement) may be substituted for a degree,
- Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 8 years of progressive HR experience, with a focus on strategic business partnership.
- Behavioral Health experience strongly preferred.
- Communication : Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to productively manage conflict, mediate, and influence.
Ability to inspire and build consensus.
- Legal : Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
- Technology : Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Program Development : Successful track record in implementing processes / programs : talent development systems, team development, values development, retention and recognition programs, diversity and inclusion, etc.
- Prioritization : Ability to prioritize rapidly, strong problem-solving skills, and ability to manage multiple projects across various organizations.
- Analytical Skills : An ability to see the implications of actual and planned activities, contributing to leadership decisions.
- People Development : Actively engages in talent management practices (selection, promotion, development, and engagement) to cultivate a workforce that is well aligned with current and emerging talent needs.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.

Compensation starting range for the Sr People Business Partner role is $121,000 to $143,000. Ranges are based upon market expectations and are dependent upon candidate experience.
