Overview of Video Automotive Mechanic

This Video Automotive Mechanic will be part of our video production team which creates step-by-step instructional videos for our TRQ YouTube channel on a variety of cars and trucks. The position is fast-paced and highly focused on the quality of the repair. The ability to explain how specific parts of the vehicle function is important, along with understanding and explaining the benefits of installing parts. The goal is to empower our customers to repair their vehicles themselves. This position will be based out of our Video Studio in Pepperell, MA.

General Responsibilities

  • Automotive repair.
  • Detailed narrative of parts and automotive repair for the purpose of making a video that will be uploaded to our TRQ YouTube channel as a reference for consumers.
  • Represent the TRQ brand by empowering people to “do it yourself” automotive repair.
  • Clean and maintain the video studio including all tools, props, and equipment.
  • Maintain a schedule of upcoming projects.
  • Drive vehicles in and out of the studio as needed.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a professional auto mechanic.
  • ASE Certification a plus.
  • Required to provide your own automotive repair tools.
  • Able to articulate the repair process to an untrained person.
  • Proficient computer user and knowledge of the internet.
  • YouTube knowledge a plus.
  • Microsoft Teams knowledge a plus.
  • A valid driver’s license.
