Industrial Estimator

Position Overview

As a well established company in Mississippi we are seeking an experienced estimator to be a part of our civil, industrial and marine construction projects. This role involves analyzing project plans, specifications, and other relevant documents to develop detailed proposals that reflect the company's competitive edge while ensuring profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review project plans and specifications to understand project requirements.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
  • Utilize estimation software and tools, such as Bluebeam, to create and manage estimates.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather necessary information and clarify project details.
  • Conduct market research to keep up to date with material and labor costs.
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to assess potential project challenges.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors for effective pricing.
  • Analyze historical data to improve accuracy of future estimates.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in estimating for industrial construction projects.
  • Proficiency in estimation software, particularly Bluebeam.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.

    • Benefits

    Compensation : $110,000-$135,000 ( DOE)
