About The Position

Job Title : Technologist

Experience : 2 years MRI experience required

License : ARRT (MR) required

Certifications : CPR Certification required

Must-Have : Must have strong knowledge and skills in MRI procedures.

Description :

Perform all required procedures through proper positioning and technique.

Consistently demonstrate good judgment in evaluating the resulting diagnostic studies.

Screen patients before exams for any contraindications or precautionary measures.

Obtain and review the requisition for examination to gather necessary information.

Thoroughly explain the procedure and answer any patient questions to alleviate anxiety.

Monitor the condition of patients within the department.

Assist the radiologist in providing needed medical attention.

Comply with policy and procedures of the organization.

Maintain diagnostic equipment by cleaning, disinfecting, and handling it with care.

Keep the work area in an orderly manner.

Check to ensure emergency equipment is in good working order.

Report any equipment problems to the supervisor.

Prepare examinations for interpretation by the radiologist, including proper identification.

Assist the radiologist during the administration of contrast media while practicing aseptic technique.

Recognize allergic reactions and respond accordingly.

Practice and maintain standard precautions and infection control policy standards.

Assist with patient scheduling and preparation prior to examinations.

Ensure that each patient receives the highest quality service possible.

Conduct examinations with regard to the patient’s age, condition, or other special needs.

Comply with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations.

Perform additional projects as requested.
