Job description

Adecco is hiring CNC Turning Operators to work with our client located in South Windsor, CT. These are long term opportunities with potential for temp to hire. 2nd Shift openings available. The CNC Turning Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC lathes to produce high-precision aerospace components. This position requires attention to detail, commitment to quality, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment.

Key Responsibilities :

Set up and operate CNC turning machines (Lathes / VTL) to produce precision aerospace parts according to engineering specifications and traveler documentation.

Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T requirements.

Perform part inspections using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, bore gauges, optical comparators).

Monitor machine operations, making necessary adjustments to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy.

Perform routine machine maintenance, including tool changes, offsets, and minor troubleshooting.

Complete documentation and maintain accurate production records in accordance with AS9100 standards.

Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and quality inspectors to resolve machining issues.

Follow all company safety and quality policies, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Required :

High school diploma or equivalent.

2+ years of CNC lathe or CNC turning experience in a manufacturing environment.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and shop documentation.

Proficiency in using precision measurement tools.

Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Preferred :

Aerospace industry experience.

Familiarity with Fanuc CNC controls.

Knowledge of AS9100, NADCAP, or other aerospace / regulated manufacturing standards.

Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.

Work Environment :

Second shift schedule; overtime and weekend work may be required based on business needs.

Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and shop floor activity.

Standing, bending, and lifting up to 40 lbs. required.

Pay Details : $25.00 to $35.00 per hour
