Associate Off-Price Designer
The Associate Off-Price Designer supports the seasonal design development process, from concept to delivery, by creating and executing original, trend-appropriate design concepts that meet market needs and drive sales, and ensuring the timely execution of each stage in the process.
Strategy & Innovation
- Research and identify brand-right seasonal trends and concepts
- Support execution of seasonal design within the context of the overall assortment, cost and vendor strategy
Product Design & Development
Create flat sketches using Adobe Illustrator for garments including jeans, jackets, skirts, shorts, shirts, sweaters for women's and men's categoriesPrepare tech packs, update spec sheets, and maintain accurate product records in PLM or shared drivesSupport fabric and trim selection, wash development, and sample trackingAttend fittings and assist with fit notes for development and productionOperations & Execution
Maintain design libraries, sample archives, and organizational toolsTrack development milestones to ensure on-time sample deliveryCollaborate with cross-functional partners in technical design, production, and merchandisingRelationships & Communication
Communicate effectively with internal teams and external vendorsSupport follow-up on sample status, fabric / lab dip / knit down approvalsSupport in denim wash approvals and communication to vendorsAssist in maintaining denim wash standard libraryWork closely with the Senior Manager of Product Development and Design, to ensure design execution aligns with brand and business goalsTeam Contribution
Bring a collaborative, solutions-oriented attitude to the teamTake initiative to learn and manage up when appropriateStay organized, meet deadlines, and adapt in a fast-paced environmentAssist in preparation for key allocation meetings, including preparing samples and supporting documentsOur Best Fit Candidate Would Have :
Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field3-4 years of experience in apparel design; denim experience preferredStrong sketching ability and proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign (Mac environment)Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel / Word / Powerpoint) to maintain WIP reports.Comprehensive understanding of garment construction, wash processes, and fabric behavior (especially denim)Excellent organizational skills and attention to detailStrong communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a teamFamiliarity with PLM systems to create and maintain tech packsPositive attitude and interpersonal skillsIn return, we provide an industry-competitive salary, along with a comprehensive benefits plan (medical, dental, vision) that includes a matching 401(k), Summer Fridays, generous PTO, merchandise discounts, excellent career development opportunities, and a work environment that reflects our industry leadership. Salary Range : $68,640-$73,500
