Job description

Controls Program Analyst

This position will work directly with the City National Bank's ("CNB") 1st Line of Defense ("1LOD") Core Risk Program Implementation team and Business Control Officer ("BCO") teams to support the execution and ongoing monitoring of Risk and Control Self-Assessment ("RCSA") programs. This colleague must have critical attention to detail, ability to analyze large volume of risk and control datasets and is expected to contribute constructively and balance challenges to support the overall alignment of program objectives.

Perform regular reviews of the Risk and Control registers for 1LOD Controls alignment to CNB's Operational Risk Policy requirements.

Work with key stakeholders within 1LOD to ensure timely completion of cleanup or review efforts.

Complete Quality Assurance of data outputs from Risk Assessment activities in the system of record.

As needed during RCSA workshops, support the input of records into the system of record in conjunction with BCO teams.

Build and sustain effective relationships to help deliver results and to ensure opportunities are identified, analyzed and managed appropriately.

Review outputs from the Risk and Control registers to drive detailed reporting risk and control trends.

Identify areas of opportunity for improvements and consistency.

Support RCSA Leads on creating training materials.

Issue Management support and Issue Management reporting responsibilities.

Participate in special projects as necessary.

Required Qualifications :

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

3+ years within or related to financial services

Additional Qualifications :

At least 3 years in a role requiring analysis, data quality review and management of multiple stakeholders

Experience with Issue Management support and Issue Management reporting

Knowledge in Financial Services, Project Management

Knowledge of key risk and control identification practices; experience using GRC tools

Advanced proficiency with MS Excel and PowerPoint; ability to handle large data sets and create supporting reporting and materials.

Quick learning ability, outstanding analytical skills and a structured way of thinking, your attention to details is exceptional.

Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment and be able to multi-task and handle voluminous workflow, work under tight deadlines, balance multiple, detailed tasks simultaneously and prioritize appropriately.

Development and implementation of new reports for all levels of management

Strong organizational and analytical skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Query for ad hoc reporting requests

Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills and ability to balance multiple priorities

Be able to handle uncertainty well, and are able to simplify complexity

Compensation :

Starting base salary : $37.02- $68.75 per hour. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and / or commissions.
