Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable Plant General to support daily production operations in a light manufacturing environment. This role involves performing general labor duties, maintaining housekeeping standards, and supporting production teams as needed. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, and able to work flexible schedules including overtime and weekends.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general labor tasks including cleaning, painting, labeling, and hauling pallets
• Maintain excellent housekeeping standards throughout the plant
• Adhere to all safety policies, training requirements, and personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines
• Assist production operators with changeovers, setups, and adjustments as needed
• Support shutdown and startup activities when required
• Perform basic preventive maintenance tasks (non-maintenance role) and cleaning during downtime
• Provide coverage for production roles as trained and assigned
• Work on day or night shift, with flexibility for overtime and occasional weekends

Working Conditions

• Primarily indoor work within the plant
• Seasonal temperature variations may occur (warmer or cooler areas)
• Ability to climb stairs and stand for 2-3 hour periods
• Regular lifting up to 50 lbs

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a light manufacturing environment preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively with team members and management
• Basic computer skills preferred, including data entry, Microsoft Office, and email
