Associate Apparel Designer- Mens & Boys

WHAT IS MY ROLE?

The Associate Designer will report to and work in partnership with the Head Designer to create boys and mens designs that cater to the contemporary, street and mass markets. Product includes full collection sportswear, tops and bottoms, knits and wovens, swim. Experience with girls design is a plus.

WHAT YOU'LL DO :

• Work alongside Design & Merchandising in its day to day creative projects while maintaining its organization
• Assist in new SMU projects, cad and tech pack revisions, create presentation linesheets
• Work closely with the Head Designer in the seasonal creation process of boys and mens design, taking ownership along the way and bringing new ideas and inspiration to the brands
• Research and identify current trends compiling results in various presentation formats and tools for creative direction
• Apply trend results into fresh designs and design capsules meeting our customer profiles within our mass market footprint
• Create new development tech packs and boms with great attention to detail following them through into production
• Great eye and experience working with prints and graphics in AI and PS : researching, creating direction, recoloring, editing, sizing, placing on garments, pitching
• Communicate development process with cross functioning teams, vendors, factories and freelance designers
• Create and maintain various forms of seasonal wip reports that serve as powerful tools for internal and external insight
• Prepare new development samples for showroom & meeting presentations
