Description
This position ensures the reliable operation of the College's Learning Management System (LMS) and its integrated applications, providing exceptional support to end users. This includes management and support of the College's course evaluation system and Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) workflow tracking system.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

- Perform routine LMS system maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure optimal functioning of the LMS, installed applications, and file management functions.
- Configure and maintain the system environment by running reports, managing community areas, and content collection within the LMS environment; managing LMS user roles and permissions to maintain proper system security and appropriate user access levels.
- Coordinate with the LMS vendor and College staff for system upgrades, maintenance, and the resolution of technical issues to ensure the LMS environment is working optimally.
- Coordinate Tier 2 LMS support with all college end users to resolve technical problems; monitor the LMS - Banner integration and work with College IT staff and the vendor to resolve issues.
- Collaborate with IT to ensure compliance and alignment with the College's institutional technology policies and accessibility requirements.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to facilitate course-level digital content and tool integration into the LMS.
- Create and assist in the maintenance of specialized courses and organizations / clubs in the LMS; assist with the design, development, and maintenance of master courses and templates.
- Support College-wide faculty development efforts by creating training materials and facilitating instructor training in the use of the College's LMS and other related online learning software.
- Maintain and foster partnerships with external vendors, agencies, and other stakeholders. Stay up to date with the latest e-learning technologies, assessing potential integrations and improvements.
- Oversee the PLA process from inquiry to completion by managing the workflow that supports the students and faculty through the PLA process; coordinate with the curriculum office on creation and / or enhancement of PLAs in the LMS. Maintain PLA completion data collection for continuous evaluation.
- Serve as administrator for the College's course evaluation system. Ensure LMS integration and final report distribution to instructors and administrators.
- Design, deliver, and evaluate training workshops and resources for faculty, staff, and students to promote effective use of academic technologies and create clear documentation.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited higher education institutionThree (3) to five (5) years' total experience in higher education, which includes one year of experience supporting the operations of a Learning Management System (Canvas preferred)Experience in writing and / or editing technical documentationTraining and facilitation experience preferredSupplemental Information
The Learning Management Systems Specialist supports the Accreditation , Curriculum & Learning Innovation department and available to start immediately. This position will close on Sunday, October 19th, at 11 : 59 p.m.
Selected candidates will be invited to interview the afternoon of Wednesday, October 29th.
This position is open only to internal candidates. To be eligible, employees must have been in their current role for at least six (6) months.
