Overview

AV Certification Technician RoomReady is supporting our Integration Services team with the filling of a Certification Technician role. The Certification Technician’s primary role is to assess installed systems to verify all aspects of the scope of work are met, ensure software is properly functioning, and certify that all aspects of the system are configured to RoomReady standards. This position has some travel requirements with overnight travel up to 25%. Candidates for this role must be located in the Boston, MA area.

What will you be doing?

  • Remote or in-person verification of system performance to ensure all aspects of the scope of work are met.
  • Quality control of room deployments to ensure every system is configured to RoomReady standards.
  • Review and critique certification reports completed by field technicians.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide installation support to field technicians, including assistance loading and adjusting DSP configurations, loading and debugging control system programming, configuring network settings, and troubleshooting issues with equipment configuration.
  • Perform and record test calls to document complete system operation.
  • Participate in client trainings.
  • Resolves customer problems or concerns relating to installations promptly.

    • Skills and Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge and experience installing and troubleshooting AV system installations.
  • Knowledge of the technical aspects of audiovisual and UC systems, including collaboration systems utilizing Cisco Webex, Microsoft Teams Rooms, and Zoom Rooms.
  • Acquire and maintain knowledge of current products and the functionality thereof.
  • Understanding of networking, VLAN configuration, multicast traffic, and POE variations.
  • Outstanding follow-up and follow-through skills.

    Compensation

    Base pay range $75,000.00 / yr - $90,000.00 / yr
