Role Overview

The Live Events General Manager will be responsible for building and leading LSC’c new live events business unit from the ground up. This role will oversee strategy, operations, P&L ownership, and execution for a portfolio of conferences and events serving the life sciences sector. The ideal candidate is both entrepreneurial and operationally disciplined, with a proven track record of scaling B2B events and building high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategy & Vision

Define and execute the overarching events strategy aligned with organizational goals (scientific, commercial, and reputational).

Oversee concept creation, agenda development, and speaker recruitment in partnership with subject matter experts in each of LSC’s communities.

Own P&L responsibility for the events division.

Build and manage a team covering event production, operations, sales, and marketing.

Recruit, coach, and mentor a high-performing events team.
