BUSINESS CONTEXT :

Ethylene oxide (EO) is an important building block for the preparation of a wide variety of EO derivatives (EODs), including various surfactants, as well as a host of other chemical intermediates including Glycol Ethers, Polyethlene Glycols, Ethanolamines, and Alkyl Alkanolamines.

INEOS Oxide is one of the world's leading producers of Ethylene Oxide (EO) and Ethylene Oxide Derivatives (EODs). We currently have a total EO and EOD capacity of 920 kta spread across five different production units throughout Europe and the US.

Purpose of the Job :

The US SHE Manager strategically manages the Bayport and Plaquemine Health, Safety, Environmental, and Security departments and contributes to the Business and Plaquemine, LA site by developing, improving, and implementing SHE policies, procedures, and supporting programs.

The US SHE Manager will provide expertise, advice and strategic guidance regarding occupational safety, health and environmental matters. The employee is to deliver value added consultation and risk assessments assigned by the business to grow the EO portfolio.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• Provides strategic direction to a diverse group of SHE personnel to include establishing goals, mentoring, accountability, development, and performance management.
• Drives safety as the highest priority by driving the INEOS 20 Principles.
• Ownership and management of assigned cost centers.
• Responsible for maintaining the SHE assets and protective systems integrity.
• Establishes and communicates expectation, monitors performance, and holds stakeholders accountable for results.
