Senior Underwriter

A company is looking for a Senior Underwriter to support small group level-funded products.

Key Responsibilities

Support underwriting operations for new and renewing business in the small group health segment

Evaluate group health plan risk and determine pricing for level-funded plans

Manage the renewal process and develop accurate projections and pricing strategies

Required Qualifications

4+ years of underwriting experience, preferably with small groups or level-funded products

Strong data analysis skills (Excel, SQL, Mode, Tableau, etc.)

Excellent understanding of health insurance pricing and risk assessment

Experience in a PEO, carrier, TPA, or insurtech start-up focused on the small group market is a plus

Comfortable taking calculated risks in a fast-evolving startup environment
