General Summary of Position

Nurses in IV

Therapy provide vascular access to patients across the entire hospital! These

skilled RN’s place peripheral IV lines, insert and maintain PICC (Peripherally

Inserted Central Catheter) lines, and are experts in ultrasound guided catheter

insertion. The department frequently leads training sessions & contributes

to research projects and process improvement processes throughout the

department of Nursing.
