A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. • Work three 12-hour shifts per week in an 8-bed Critical Care Unit
• Patient ratios of 2 : 1, sometimes 3 : 1 depending on staffing and acuity
• May be required to float to other units as needed
• Adult patient population only - no pediatrics
• Care for patients with diagnoses including DKA, sepsis, respiratory failure, and post heart catheterization patients
• Work with Mindray Datascope equipment and MedHost documentation system
• Monitor tech support available on the unit
• Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, CPI
• Must have knowledge of ventilators, drips (sedation, vasoactive medications), and care of central venous catheter lines
• Assist with procedures including bronchoscopy, placement of CVC lines, placement of chest tubes, and sometimes bedside procedures (EGD, colonoscopy, PEG tube placement, trach placement)
• Follow facility dress code policy
