Corporate Communications Internship - 2026

CNO's Corporate Communications Intern program is designed to introduce college students to the application of communication skills in insurance. Summer interns will gain valuable experience with internal communications, public relations, and social media.

This is a paid internship, at competitive rates of $21-$23 / hour depending on location. The Memorial Day and 4th of July holidays are paid days off.

As a Corporate Communications Intern, your responsibilities will include :

Collaborate with internal departments to assist in the development and execution of internal and external communication plans and materials

Utilize content management systems (CMS) and media platforms to create and post communications and media materials to various web and social media channels

Assist in development and tracking of strategic and news content for internal and external audiences

Qualified candidates for a Corporate Communications Intern position will have :

Progress towards a bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related discipline

Status as a rising junior or rising senior, approx. graduation dates of Dec 2026 June 2028

Minimum GPA of 3.0 / 4.0

Availability to work 40 hrs / week for 10-12 weeks during the summer

Experience using Microsoft Excel, Office products

Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

Experience with Content Management Systems (CMS), graphic and video software, or media relations tools / databases preferred but not required

For students residing within 60 miles of CNO's Carmel, IN or Chicago corporate office, interns will have access to come into the office. If there are groups of interns near either location, informal lunches may also be arranged. For interns not residing within 60 miles of a CNO corporate office, CNO also offers internships as fully remote / work-from-home from any US based location, as long as you are willing to work central or eastern time zone hours.
