Accountant and Auditor (SME)

Synertex LLC is seeking qualified candidates for an Accountant and Auditor (SME) role in support of a mission-critical program. This position is contingent upon contract award. The SME will provide expert-level financial oversight, auditing, and advisory services to ensure compliance, transparency, and accuracy of financial operations in secure environments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Examine, analyze, and interpret accounting records to prepare financial statements and reports.
- Audit financial systems and statements to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
- Advise leadership on financial controls, risk management, and accounting best practices.
- Develop and implement systems of recording costs and budgetary data to improve financial tracking.
- Identify financial discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
- Support preparation for internal and external audits, ensuring documentation accuracy.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior accountants or financial staff.
REQUIREMENTS
Active Top Secret / SCI clearance with Polygraph.Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.15+ years of professional accounting or auditing experience.In-depth knowledge of GAAP, federal financial policies, and auditing standards.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.Experience supporting federal or Intelligence Community audits and financial programs.COMPANY OVERVIEW
