Interventional Technologist
POSITION SUMMARY : Assists with the performance of diagnostic, interventional and therapeutic procedures. Evaluates quality of images. Provides a safe patient environment. Participates in other necessary activities in support of departmental operations.
EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS, TRAINING and EXPERIENCE :
Minimum Required : ARRT certified and completion of formal training program in Radiography BCLS certified; Proficient in application of diagnostic radiologic procedures, and knowledge of anatomy gained through experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
Preferred : Associate Degree in radiography. 1-2 years of interventional experience.
ADDITIONAL SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS : Incumbent must demonstrate an ability to apply age-appropriate principles of communication and technical practice relevant to neonatal, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Incumbent must demonstrate competence in the use of equipment and application of procedures before being allowed to perform independently.
