Job Title : Materials Supervisor

Location : Jabil Memphis

The Materials Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the Purchasing and Planning functions within the site serving as the escalation point for a team of materials professionals. This role does not include warehouse or inventory control responsibilities. The Supervisor will lead problem-solving efforts make strategic decisions manage budget approvals and collaborate cross-functionally with Inventory Control (IC) Business Units (BU) and Supply Chain (SC) teams.

What can you expect to do

• Supervise and support two direct reports.
• Serve as the escalation point for purchasing and planning issues including material shortages and production schedule risks.
• Approve SAP-related requests including role assignments appeals and purchase order (PO) values.
• Oversee and re-evaluate min / max levels for bulk materials ensuring production schedules do not exceed variance.
• Present planning and purchasing metrics to Business Units and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with IC BU and SC teams to align on operational goals and resolve escalations.
• Lead strategic initiatives and cross-functional projects to improve materials performance and cost efficiency.
• Support budgetary oversight and approval processes for purchasing activities.
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
