About Woodland and Job Corps Center
The Woodland Job Corps Center provides students with the opportunity to earn their High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) , and hands-on training in the following areas :
⚡ Electrical Wiring
Carpentry
Building Construction Technology
Culinary Arts
Advanced Training - Culinary Arts and Hotel & Lodging
We also assist students with job placement upon completion of their educational and career technical training.

Position Summary
Responsible for providing proper guidance to students to ensure positive group living relations and achievement in the Job Corps program .

Create a safe, respectful, and inclusive living space
Lead by example—setting the tone for responsibility and growth
Coach students through life skills, conflict resolution, and personal development
Keep dorm operations running smoothly with checks, reports, and teamwork
Be the trusted adult students turn to for support and encouragement
✅ Responsibilities
Provide guidance for students to achieve a positive attitude and proper behavior in dormitory living and accomplish goals
Determine, recommend, and arrange student visits to counselor
Assist in unit activities , including unit government
Patrol and monitor dormitories and center, ensuring safety and proper behavior ; resolve problems
Prepare daily operations report, pass list, and other administrative correspondence
Direct students and assist in cleanup and maintenance of dormitory
Recommend or requisition supplies for dorm living and student safety
Maintain dormitory and individual student files , ensuring they are complete and updated
Enter student case notes in the center information system
Participate in career development services by ensuring a safe living environment and positive peer leadership
Provide guidance, counseling, group sessions, and independent living skills
⏰ Work overtime when directed; maintain regular and predictable attendance
Provide positive, quality customer services to students, staff, and center customers
Support, promote, and enforce the Job Corps' Zero Tolerance Policy
Promote career success standards by modeling appropriate behaviors, mentoring students, and monitoring behavior through interventions

Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience
Education : High School Diploma or equivalent required. Advanced degrees preferred.
Experience : A minimum of one-year Job Corps or related program experience required.
Licensing : A valid in-State Driver’s License preferred.
Physical Requirements :
Ability to perform sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and / or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping, and crouching
Demonstrates the ability to lift 40 pounds and / or assess the lift load to ask for necessary assistance
