As a Security Professional - Corrections Patrol Shift Supervisor in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Corrections, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a corrections environment, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure and welcoming atmosphere. Your presence and routine patrols will help to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service and clear communication to all individuals at the location. Position Type : Full Time

Pay Rate : $17.95 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTime Thur 05 : 45 AM - 06 : 00 PM Fri 05 : 45 AM - 06 : 00 PM Sat 05 : 45 AM - 06 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies within a corrections facility.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the assigned location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and / or incidents.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Provide customer service by assisting staff, visitors, and / or other individuals as needed within the location.
  • Report any observed irregularities, incidents, or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel or authorities.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and / or restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain order within the facility.
  • Participate in emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal and site leadership.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Access control and / or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
