Job Summary
The Accounting Analyst is primarily responsible for processing and maintaining fixed assets, prepaid accounts, and is responsible for executing a variety of financial processes including month-end and year-end closing, general ledger reviews, variance analysis, account reconciliations, and assisting with quarterly regulatory reporting.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for monthly fixed assets and prepaid accounting
- Supports daily liquidity and funds management.
- Prepare general ledger certifications (i.e. correspondent bank accounts, asset / liability general leger accounts and bank control accounts) and applicable schedules.
- Assist in the month end close process and reporting, including variance analysis.
- Assist in preparing the quarterly Call Report and supporting schedules
- Supports preparation of various analytical reports and information
- Analyze financial information to identify discrepancies
- Research and resolve discrepancies timely
- Collaborates with different departments to achieve the various deliverables on financial reporting.
- Builds and maintains rapport with internal stakeholders and external agencies involved in the financial reporting process.
- Additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned
- Expected attendance in office - 3 x week
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of Accounting ExperienceCommercial banking accounting experience preferredBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited universityProficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Power PointMinimum of intermediate experience in ExcelSkills and Competencies
