Position Summary

"Launch" is our new pathway for graduates stepping directly into permanent roles. The program is designed for ambitious graduates (Bachelors, Masters or PhD level) who are ready to make an impact from day one, supported with on the job learning and career progression opportunities.

You'll specify and design solutions including mechanical, electrical, controls and other hardware as defined by assigned projects. You'll be accountable for all aspects of hardware design, analysis, and definition and you'll support fabrication and testing to deliver LibertyWorks\' products. In this role, you'll ensure that component designs meet project requirements from concept through demonstration testing.

What you'll be doing

• Leading design and analysis activities for mechanical systems hardware, from requirements capture through to program completion
• Understanding and cascading system requirements into sub-system and component hardware requirements, and issuing requirement documents
• Providing hardware design concepts and performing trade studies to optimize hardware, including basic CADD modeling and analysis
• Creating and documenting functional and physical interfaces with other component engineers
• Developing hardware bills of material and collaborating across teams to integrate with the project-level product structure and configuration
• Supporting the creation of engineering drawings and / or model-based definitions for project / manufacturing to procure conforming hardware
• Providing limits for engine and rig testing, and supporting testing, including assessment of test results and tested hardware
• Developing technical presentations and associated technical reports in the delivery of solutions
