Behavioral Health Advanced Practice Provider (APP)

Our Park Rapidsteam is seeking a mental health practitioner to join us in serving our patient populations throughout the community. This APP will be responsible for providing behavioral health services to individual patients and families across the continuum of care. Our professional patient centered and compassionate behavioral health providers and support staff are a source of excellent support and extensive resources. The Behavioral Health Division at Essentia Health includes physicians advanced practice providers nurses and dedicated support staff. This highly respected and rapidly growing team has access to top-notch facilities that provide the ideal setting for candidates seeking a professional atmosphere for their practices.

• Seeking a 1.0 FTE (full-time status); Mon-Fri from 8am-5pm
• Practice will consist of primarily outpatient practice with occasional inpatient / ED consults
• New PMHNP graduates will be considered
• Pediatric experience and competence preferred

Knowledge Skills Abilities and Interpersonal Requirements :

Advanced practice providers in Behavioral Health are limited to the provision of mental health services specifically for individuals experiencing symptoms of a mental health diagnosis and who are in need of mental health services.

In addition the candidate should possess :

A Behavioral Health APP is able to utilize advanced health assessment knowledge and decision-making skills while working both independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. This APP will provide health care to individuals and families emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. This position requires a high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients co-workers and addition to the responsibilities of this APP as defined in the description this provider is responsible for providing and supporting behavioral health services to individual patients and families across the continuum of care.
