Job Overview

Northern Continental Heating & Cooling, Inc., a family-owned and operated company with over 40 years of service in the Crystal Lake area, is looking for a skilled and customer-focused HVAC Service Technician. In this full-time role, youll travel to residential and light commercial customer sites, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heating, cooling, and specialty systems including boilers and pool heaters. Key Responsibilities

Travel to customer homes and job sites to service HVAC systems

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair residential and light commercial equipment

Perform preventative maintenance and warranty service

Suggest system improvements or modifications to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction

Maintain detailed and legible service reports and communicate clearly with customers

Ensure all work meets code and company standards

Participate in rotating on-call shifts for emergency service work

Represent the company with professionalism, honesty, and integrity at all times

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years HVAC experience preferred; entry-level considered at lower rate

High School diploma or GED required

EPA Universal Certification required

Clean driving record and background check

Superior troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities

Strong communication and customer service skills

Legible handwriting and basic computer skills

Neat appearance, punctual, dependable, and trustworthy

Ability to work with patience and compassion, especially with elderly clients

Willingness to work irregular hours, weekends, and holidays when on-call

Full-Time

Monday Friday

Rotating On-Call (including evenings, weekends, holidays)
