Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology assignment requiring critical care background and a VA or compact RN license.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • This role is based in an Interventional Radiology (IR) setting within a hospital
  • Typical caseload averages 1-3 cases per day
  • Responsibilities include procedure scheduling support, nursing support for physicians and radiology staff, patient monitoring, assessment, procedural sedation, and recovery
  • Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 : 00am to 4 : 30pm
  • Rotating call is required, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Experience with IR and Cath Lab workflow and procedures is required
  • EPIC EMR experience is highly preferred
  • Nurses may be involved in assisting with procedure scheduling and supporting medical staff during cases
  • Assessment, monitoring, procedural sedation, and recovery of IR patients are core responsibilities
  • Testing includes a Pass / Fail EKG exam on the first day, with two attempts allowed
  • Holiday and weekend call coverage is required on a rotating basis
  • Candidates must wear scrubs as per department policy
  • Manager interview will occur after clinical review, which may delay offer

  • Active VA or compact state RN license required
  • Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required; 3 years preferred
  • Critical care experience required
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Previous travel experience is preferred
  • Must pass Dysrhythmia / EKG exam at orientation; study materials provided
  • Experience with IR or Cath Lab procedures required
  • No local candidates accepted (must live more than 50 miles from facility)
  • Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing required; BSN preferred
