First-level vocational position accountable for technical work involving the least complex equipment operation and maintenance. Responsibilities may include repairing traffic signals, installing and maintaining signs, applying herbicide, pesticide, and snow and ice chemicals, striping, traffic control, pothole patching, and responding to natural and man-made disasters.

Standard shift schedule is Mon-Thu. Employees can expect to be on call Fri-Sun.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic technical work related to equipment operation and maintenance.
• Repair traffic signals and install / maintain traffic signs.
• Apply herbicide, pesticide, and snow and ice chemicals as required.
• Stripe road surfaces, manage traffic control, and patch potholes.
• Respond to natural and man-made disasters as needed.
