ECS is seeking a MicroSupport Desktop Technician to work in our Memphis, TN office.
Responsible for day-to-day support of on-site and remote Microsoft Windows desktops and the software / tools running on them. Assist with the planning, development, and implementation of best-practices for desktop, printer, and remote user support activities. Assist with inventory, network support, VoIP, and A / V support.
Day-To-Day Responsibilities
- Provide desktop support for on-site and remote end-users
- Diagnose hardware and software system problems and initiate corrective actions
- Effectively manage incoming customer requests and incident tickets in a timely manner
- Liaison to corporate support group and A / V systems
- 24 x 7 on-call support
- Other duties as assigned
- Support network connectivity and related network issues for building infrastructure and end-user computing devices
- Assist with mobile device setup and support for end-users
- Assist with peer and customer training in the administration and use of hardware and software tools
- Assist with all team support responsibilities including laptop / desktop, network management, VoIP, equipment inventory d by management
- A bachelor's degree or 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree and 6 years of experience in the field or in a related area
- Extensive knowledge and experience supporting Microsoft Windows desktop environments
- Experience managing requests and incidents via standard ITSM tools (e.g. ServiceNow)
- Working knowledge of Active Directory, group policies, file and print services
- Working knowledge of basic networking (TCP / IP protocol, switches, cabling, etc.)
- Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities
- U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain Secret Level Security Clearance
