Job Title : Child Psychiatrist

Reports To : Chief of Psychiatry or Medical Director

Position Summary :

We are seeking a compassionate and board-certified Child Psychiatrist to join our mental health team in Klamath Falls. The ideal candidate will specialize in diagnosing and treating emotional, behavioral, and developmental disorders in children and adolescents. This role involves collaboration with families, educators, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure holistic and effective care.

Key Responsibilities :

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments.
• Diagnose and treat conditions such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, autism spectrum disorders, and bipolar disorder.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Provide psychotherapy (individual, group, and family) and prescribe / manage medications.
• Collaborate with psychologists, social workers, pediatricians, and educators.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Educate and counsel families on mental health conditions and treatment options.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records using EMR systems.
• Participate in crisis intervention and emergency psychiatric care.
• Stay current with advancements in child psychiatry and participate in continuing education.
