PAY RANGE : $ 103,118 - 128,898

POSITION SUMMARY :

The Marine Watercraft Test & Evaluation Engineer is responsible for developing Watercraft test procedures and executing tests in accordance with those procedures. Testing is vital to providing our customers with mature systems to ensure success in their respective missions set. The ideal candidate has proven experience with Department of Defense (DoD) watercraft testing requirement and procedures. This role requires attention to detail, knowledge of watercraft architecture and subsystems, and strong written and verbal skills.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Design, build, and draft test procedures that meet or exceed contractual testing requirements.

  • Evaluate testing data and provide testing
  • \n

  • Accurately provide feedback to the Engineering and Production teams on new designs.
  • \n

  • Understand and track Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) through the Engineering Change Control and Implementation Process.
  • \n

  • Ensure testing data is accurately measured and disseminated to the correct teams.
  • \n

  • Prepare presentations for senior leadership and customer-facing presentations documenting testing procedures.
  • \n

  • Review, implement, and maintain plans and tracking mechanisms that map programmatic requirements to planned testing, demonstration and fleet events.
  • \n

  • Coordinate test conduct between Production, Quality Assurance, Customer, and Regulatory Bodies.
  • \n \n

    JOB SCOPE :

    KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES :

    \n

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook).
  • \n

  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat and comfort with digital document creation / editing.
  • \n

  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., IFS or similar) and basic data reporting tools.
  • \n

  • High attention to detail with the ability to follow structured procedures.
  • \n

  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
  • \n

  • Ability to collaborate across departments and manage competing priorities.
  • \n

  • Experience working with SOCOM, US Army, and US Navy preferred.
  • \n

  • Able to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance.
  • \n \n

    EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE :

    \n

  • Bachelors of Science in Engineering (Electrical Engineering preferred).
  • \n

  • 10+ years of Test & Evaluation experience.
  • \n

  • Experience in working on DoD contracts.
  • \n \n

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS :

  • Active DoD Secret security clearance (preferred)
  • \n

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS :

    Work is conducted in a dynamic, fast-paced office setting. The person may be required to be in production areas at times. He / she must be able to walk to and from job sites. There may be local travel up to 10% of the time and out-of-town travel (including air travel) up to 5% of the time with notice. At times, he / she will be expected to travel for testing events. Additional physical demands may be present in testing environments, such as :

  • Must be willing and able to participate in underway testing events.
  • \n

  • Must be able to climb on and around ships / boats, including stairs, ladders, masts, and scaffolding.
  • \n

  • Must be able to work around moving machinery, at heights and in confining or restricted spaces aboard vessels under construction / repair.
  • \n

  • Must be able to navigate elevated sea-states while maintaining a clear mindset and attentive demeanor.
  • \n \n

    WORK ENVIRONMENT :

    This is an on-site position. While in production areas, will be exposed to all weather conditions, noise, dusts and odors. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
