Maintenance Mechanic Job Description

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Comply with safety and environmental regulations, as well as company policies and maintenance department rules
• Daily involvement in the care and maintenance of all equipment with operations management to facilitate internal efficiency
• Maintain constant positive interaction with coworkers, supervisors, and managers, as well as front line members to maintain a positive relationship between the maintenance department and all other departments
• Assist in maintaining an Inventory of parts, equipment, and services to support operations
• Utilize the company provided Mpulse Preventative Maintenance Software to fully assure machinery remains in optimal condition
• Maintain the cleanliness and overall appearance of physical facilities to support operations and protect the company’s assets.
• Have a daily awareness of our utility consumption to ensure an efficient operation
• Participate in the Morgan’s safety program including, ensuring all safety regulatory policies and procedures are implemented and maintained for equipment and facilities
• Assist in the installation and maintenance of equipment to support an efficient operation
• Assure that the building and grounds are properly maintained
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to work independently on assigned projects
• Must have experience in the following areas : Plant facility and support systems operation and maintenance Production equipment maintenance and repair of Electrical / electronic (PLCs, 230V 3Ph) Mechanical (conveyors, boilers, steam, plumbing) Controls LOTO, Confined Spaces and all other OSHA / Morgan Safety Rules Work with large machinery
• Good human relations skills, ability to work with a variety of personalities
• Computer literacy, with the ability to trouble shoot computer issues
• Quality orientation and high attention to detail
• Ability to perform problem analysis
• Experience with hazardous chemicals
• Willing to work overtime, including evenings and Saturdays if necessary

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within the commercial laundry services industry
• Bilingual a plus
• Boiler operator license a plus (we can assist in getting this license)

Work Environment

This position exists in a service center environment, including hot, noisy, and wet conditions. This position requires constant walking throughout the facility, carrying of tools and equipment of up to 100 pounds on occasion.

Within the facility environment, there is constant exposure to hazards including confined spaces, chemicals, steam under pressure, climbing, working in positions above and under equipment, and throughout and outside of the facility.
