Systems Engineer

Hyperion Technology Group, Inc. is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our team. HTG designs and builds custom automated machinery , testing equipment, and specialized systems for a variety of industries, including but not limited to Consumer Products, Medical / Life Sciences, Automotive and Light Industrial, and Government Agencies. HTG also designs and builds sensors and sensor systems for the U.S. Government, foreign governments, research institutions, universities, and commercial entities.

Essential Duties :

• Participate in initial equipment conceptual development and carefully balance product specifications, process control requirements, layout complexity, cost, quality and lead-time limits .
• Architect, write, and debug LabVIEW code with an emphasis on generating code that is organized , structured, documented, maintainable and LabVIEW code will interact with data acquisition, sensors, PLC control systems, machine vision systems , and 3rd party equipment.
• Participate in process development with emphasis on data acquisition, signal conditioning and signal processing for sensor systems.
• Participate in acoustic sensor system design, development and testing.
• Lead field testing efforts.
• Develop algorithms for sensor systems.
• Generate aesthetically simple HMI screens for complex machinery while providing sufficient feedback for troubleshooting .
• Create machine interactions with plant-wide Manufacturing Execution System (MES) to communicate product acceptability, machine status, and process variables.

This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Vetting Risk Operations Center (VROC), handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. Security clearance factors include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the US, foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations, and drug involvement.
