PPM Janitor/Utility Cleaner (COL) 9.2

Job Summary

Responsible for cleaning buildings, removing debris, and keeping areas neat and tidy. Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors, empties trash receptacles, cleaning restrooms, and replace lining of trash cans.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Clean buildings by sweeping, vacuuming, mopping floors, and cleaning other surfaces.
• Gather and empty trash.
• Supply, clean, and service restrooms.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
• Dust/polish furniture and scrub surfaces clean.
• Vacuum carpets.
• Use cleaning solutions to remove stains and clean surfaces.
• Request appropriate supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
• Move furniture.
• Identify and report possible repairs.
• Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created.
• Must be able to work a day or a night shift as required by customer. Must be able to work extra hours as needed with or without notice.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience:

• 6-months utility/janitor experience

Physical Requirements/Job Site Requirements:

• Must be able to complete hiring paperwork electronically through DocuSign
• May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
• Must possess enough strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions as identified above
• Must be able to move in and around confined spaces and uneven areas
• Must have full range of motion consistent with age
• Must be able to climb and maintain balance ladders
• Must be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees, alarms, and other job-related noises
• Visual acuity, depth perception, and color discrimination consistent with that required to work at heights and on uneven surfaces
• Safety/Steel toe shoes are required.
